GRI I, II and III (Graduate Real Estate Institute)
Property is the single biggest investment most people will make in their lifetimes. Today, real estate transactions continue to become increasingly complicated. New technologies, laws, procedures and the increasing sophistication of buyers and sellers require real estate practitioners to perform at an ever-increasing level of professionalism. Dave has completed all three levels from the Real Estate Institute, which is the highest designation attainable from the National Association of Realtors. He as also passed his real estate broker exam and become an associate broker at Howard Hanna.
Master Negotiation Expert
Dave is one of only 36 Realtors in the state of Michigan and one of the three in Washtenaw County (as of October, 2018) who has earned the designation “Master Certified Negotiation Expert” from the Real Estate Negotiation Institute. Negotiation is a lot more than just demanding what you want. Like most skills, it is learning the processes and techniques that give you the highest probability of success. “By far, this is the most valuable training I have ever received,” says Dave. “Not only has it made me better at negotiating for my clients, it has enriched many other areas of my life.”

Licensed Residential Builder
One of the unique ways that Dave can help is his knowledge of construction as a licensed residential builder. Though he now works only as a Realtor, he keeps his building license current. This allows him to flag potential problems for his clients and make sure buyers are well-educated about possible issues even before a home inspection. Because most buyers will have a contractor’s inspection during negotiations, Dave can also help sellers anticipate buyers’ concerns and recognize the difference between real problems and attempts to lower the selling price.
SRS – Seller Representative Specialist
Dave earned the designation of Seller Representative Specialist from the Real Estate Business Institute. This course of study is designed specifically to give agents the leading edge in representing sellers.

Linda is a former piano teacher and musician who ran a successful Kindermusik® program and piano studio in the Ann Arbor area for over 20 years. The knowledge she gained running and promoting her business now helps Dave run the real estate business and helps clients market their homes. She has earned her designations as a LeadingRE Marketing Specialist and a Professional Property Stager Real Estate Consultant.
